Beliefs are built upon old memories of pain and pleasure. These memories are based on how we have interpreted and emotionalized our experiences over time. By attaching ourselves emotionally to people, events and circumstances, we effectively build the foundations of our belief systems. Our beliefs guide our actions and therefore influence what we will and won’t try and the goals we are or aren’t willing to set and ultimately whether we achieve or don’t achieve our goals.
Therefore in order to achieve our goals we need to find ways of overcoming these limiting beliefs, move forward and stop indulging in self-sabotaging behaviour.
