Nicola Sedgwick
Nicola is an artist, designer, illustrator, and editor based in Wicklow, Ireland. She worked in Emerald City Productions in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin as an animator for five years, and then worked for nearly ten years in Mentor Books publishing company as a designer and illustrator.
Now self-employed, she utilises her skills in various roles.
- She is the author of You Too Can Draw, a book that shows how anyone can draw.
- She has exhibited paintings in several exhibitions, including the Signal Arts Centre, Bray, Leinster Gallery, Dublin as well as group shows.
- She teaches drawing and painting at Ballsbridge College of Further Education, in various libraries and community centres in Wicklow and Dublin, and has also taught several online drawing courses.
- Her commercial work includes storyboards, comic strips, illustrations and cartoons for schoolbooks, general books and individuals.
- Design work involves promotional material, logos and book design and layout.
- As an editor, she has worked on books and documents for publishers and individuals.
